About us
eProInn s.r.l.
eProInn s.r.l. (Energy and Propulsion Innovation) is a spin-off company of the University of Salerno, created by the initiative of professors and researchers related to eProLab of the Department of Industrial Engineering
Mission

The primary purpose

Our aim is to promote the development and industrialization of a kit to convert a traditional car into a hybrid solar vehicle, reducing consumption and emissions. The conversion system, patented and already applied on a FIAT Punto, can be applied to all conventional front-wheel drive vehicles, with costs much lower than those for the purchase of a new hybrid or electric vehicle. The HySolarKit project has been awarded the Horizon 2020 “Seal of Excellence” and is currently being carried out by eProInn and the industrial partners Landi Renzo, Mecaprom and Solbian as part of the LIFE-SAVE project.
More generally, the eProInn mission extends to the aspects of the green economy related to energy and propulsion. In these fields, eProInn and eProLab researchers have developed a long experience. This is thanks to numerous collaborations and industrial projects as well as to a vast partnership network in national and international contexts, in contracts, research projects, European projects and bilateral agreements. The European LIFE program, an instrument of the European community to support environmental protection initiatives, approved funding for the development of the SAVE (Solar Aided Vehicle Electrification) project. It is aimed at developing finished prototypes ready for industrialization (TRL = 9) and the establishment of a NewCo among the partnerst participating in the project.
